Autumn is here

And so autumn has come. They days are getting shorter again, and the air has a crispiness that you don’t experience in summer. The evenings are getting cool, and the mornings are bordering on cold. Soon, the nights will be freezing (as cold as down to zero)… But thus far I am enjoying the changing seasons. This weekend, I prepared the veggie garden for winter by planting cauliflower, onions and spinach and also a few lavender bushes to bring some colour. But I also took some precaution, in case the autumn blues gets me, and booked a two-week holiday to Mauritius with the hubby in July! Not only is the island paradise on earth, with spectacular beaches and diving, but one of my very best friends lives there. It will be a perfect combination of sun, beach, diving, good friends, yummy food and (no doubt) lots of wine!
