The Protea

The jewels of the fynbos crown, the Proteas, come in all shapes, sizes and colours. In fact, the botanist Carl von Linnaeus named them after the Greek god Proteus who could change his form at will. The King Protea is South Africa’s national flower. King ProteaProtea Protea Protea
