South African Snapshots: no 23

Fine dining.

South Africa is a totally underrated food and fine dining destination. Fabulous quality ingredients, innovative chefs and stunning settings collaborate to give you some of the best dining experiences. Ever. At a fraction of what you would have to pay anywhere else in the world. There are so many awesome places, but I have thought long and hard, and these are my favourite fine dining spots. They all have the full package of fab food and drink, excellent service and unique setting (but there are literally hundreds more of equal quality and comfort!).

Five Hundred at The Saxon; probably the poshest restaurant in the country

Waterkloof Wines; seasonal, sustainable and biodynamic fine dining

The Flagship; seafood fine dining in the chef’s stunning seafront lounge

Priva; sexy jazz and champagne lounge with fab tasting menu
