Crepes, antiques and creaky floorboards

We went for crepes at Excuse My French in Kalk Bay this morning. It is a wonderfully quirky little place with views to die for. The cafe doubles up as an antique shop, and there are pricetags on tables and chairs. The crepes are wonderfully thin and crispy, and I love that they use wholemeal flour in the savoury ones! We had planned to try one of the sweet versions after, but were too full… Good reason to go back! See how the coffee is all over the saucers in the pic? It was because our table was standing on a loose floorboard that made it bounce every time the waiter walked on it. Usually I would mind, but here it just added to the quirky atmosphere!
